Timothy W Clay

February 24, 1958 ~ July 9, 2022 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Timothy W. Clay, born February 24, 1958,
passed away peacefully surrounded by his
girls on July 9, 2022 in Greenup, KY. He
fought a long and courageous battle against
Pancreatic Cancer.
Raised in Plain City, OH, Tim was the son of
Otis & Juantia Clay. He graduated from
Jonathan Alder in 1976. After graduation, he
then enlisted in the United States Army
where he was the Colonel’s driver. He was
able to earn this position by kickin’er into
gear, gripping the wheel, all while yelling
“Whoo-hoo!”. Of course this job only added
to his arsenal of wild stories! Tim made
many friends anywhere he went, which is
why we were never on time for much. As
dad always said, “You can tell a Clay, but
you can’t tell ‘em much.” He was dedicated
to his family, community, and friends, always
lending a hand where needed with no
expectations of anything in return. Tim was
skilled at anything he set his mind to so he
was good at helping. He was a Harley
Davidson enthusiast, a lover of all animals
(except spiders), an adventure seeker, and
could light up any room he walked into. You
didn’t have to know him through Rex & TC
to know he was always the life of the party!
Tim was survived by the love of his life,
Angie Stalling, his 4 daughters, 2 step
daughters, 19 grandchildren, and 3 great
grandchildren. Siblings Daryl (Sue) Clay
and Robin (Sue) Clay. He is also survived
by his Last Chapter brothers, aunts, uncles,
many cousins, nieces, nephews, and too
many friends to list. Tim was preceded in
death by his parents, Otis & Juanita Clay,
his brothers Michael Clay and Chris Clay,
and his sister-in-law Rita Clay.
We will be holding a Celebration of Life at
Tim & Angie’s in Greenup, KY August 20th
at 3:00pm and another one August 27th at
3:00pm back at The Creek in Irwin, OH.
