Rosella Moore died peacefully in the care of Hospice of Miami Valley on December 22, 2017, in Dayton, Ohio at the age of 94. Rosella enjoyed country music, feeding the wild birds in her backyard and genealogy. She shared many treasured stories about Beauty Ridge and her family’s history.

Rosella is survived by her adopted daughter Dr. Debra Stewart and her grandchildren Jason and Melissa Stewart and Brittany and Pat Clemens.  Rosella was blessed with five great-grandchildren; Brandon, Jacob, Maya, Samuel, and Thea.

Rosella was born in Greenup County Kentucky on November 21, 1923, Rosella’s father was William (Mack) Lyons and her mother was Amanda (Sexton) Lyons. Her brothers were Ory, Arnold, Allie, Henry, Jesse, Hubert, Floyd and Wesley (Elmo) Lyons. Her sisters were Opal Wiseman and Laura Jackson.

She married Eddie Ray Moore her forever sweetheart in 1940. During times together before and after the war Eddie would sing to Rosella “You are my Sunshine” and “Wildwood Flower.”

The funeral for Rosella is scheduled for 1 P.M., December 28, 2017, at Roberson Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, South Shore, Kentucky 41175 with Rev. Norman Potter, officiating. Burial will follow in MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, KY. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 A.M. till the Funeral hour at 1 P.M.
