Lenore Lyons

Lenore Lyons, 86, of Beauty Ridge, passed away November 4, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Lyons was born November 3, 1936 in Big Chimney, WV, to the late Henry and Dorma Haynes.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Lyons; one Angel Baby and 9 siblings.

Mrs. Lyons hailed from one of the Founding Families of Virginia, 1621, and was proud of her West

Virginia upbringing. Boots was a member of the Allen Chapel Church of Christ, and was firm in her faith.

She had multiple talents and passions. She was an exceptional quilter, she loved to paint and repurpose knickknacks that she would find. She loved to craft and cook as well. Many of her beloved recipes have been passed to her children, including the Haynes Family recipe for Hot Saur Kraut and her own recipe for fried chicken. Over the years, she and Walter built over 21 homes together creating memories that will last a lifetime.

She is survived by two sons, John (Nesba) Lyons and William (Jessica) Lyons; two daughters, Marsha

(Stanley) Roberts and Dorma Kay Lyons; two brothers, Jerry (Patty) Haynes and Bob (Winnie) Haynes; along with 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Lyons Cemetery, Beauty Ridge.
