Larry Michael Sword

Larry M. Sword, 79, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away, Aug. 9, 2021 in Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Larry was born in Springfield, Ohio, July 30, 1942, son of the late Robert and Elaine Fancher. Larry was a U.S. Marine  Veteran serving in the Vietnam War, enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

Preceded in death by his wife of 50 yrs, Betty R. Hampton Sword, May 21, 2019, siblings, Steve, Diane and Denise.

Surviving are one son, William (Amber Quillen) Sword of South Shore, Kentucky, grandsons, Drew and Austin Sword, one brother, Brian Fancher of Portsmouth, Ohio, host of nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Carl Wells, officiating. Burial will follow in MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Military graveside service will be by James Dickey American Legion Post 23, Portsmouth, Ohio
