Ethel Mae Cooper, 73, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away Nov. 4, 2019 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Newport, Kentucky, July 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Emil Cornette and Nellie Carter.
Preceded in death besides her parents are two brothers, Robert and Orville Enyart, two sisters, Virginia Starrett and Gertrude Scarberry.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Cooper, one daughter, Vicki Potter of Ironton, Ohio, one son, Steve (Dianne) Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, one sister, Alicia Thacker Gore of Delaware, Ohio, two grandchildren, Jennifer Barnett and Jessica Burnett, three great-grandchildren, Autymn Robson, Michael Robson and Jaxson Barnett, nephews, Keith (Cindy) Enyart, Garry Enyart, nieces, Roberta (Elbert) Worthington, Trudy (Harold) Bobst, Anita (Stan) Brewer and Dru (Mark) Chandler.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Elders Troy Thomas and Harold Burchet, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
