Elbert Ruggles, 80, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away Feb. 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, Dec. 23, 1937 to the late Leroy Ruggles and Pheba Huffman Ruggles. He was a member of Alter Chapel Church, West Jefferson, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his wife, Irene Peters Ruggles, Sept. 14, 2003, six brothers, Ben, Carl, Lewis, Earl, Bill and David Ruggles, four sisters, Lucy Gray, Virginia Braden, Juanita Hale and Geneva Patrick.

Surviving are his present wife, Phyillis Ruggles of Columbus, Ohio, three sons, James E. (Karen) Ruggles of Grove City, Ohio, Eddie (Susan) Ruggles of Grove City, Ohio, Tom (Jayme) Ruggles of Grove City, Ohio,, one daughter, Kay (Harold) Williams of Grove City, Ohio, two step daughters, Michelle Eckard of Columbus, Ohio, Cindy Castle of Columbus, Ohio, two sisters, Bernice Logan and Barbara Fisher both of Greenup, Kentucky, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Brother Charles Smith, Brother Harold Vance and Brother Junior Murry, officiating. Burial will follow in Brick Union Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 A.M. till the Funeral hour at 1 P.M. on Saturday.
