Dock (Mick) Sparks, 75, of Firebrick, Kentucky went to be with his Lord, Sept. 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, Dec. 30, 1944, a son of the late Charles E. Sparks and Mildred I. Diamond Sparks. Mick was a life time member of the Firebrick Christian Baptist Church and a member of Rubyville Community Church.
Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Violet Marie Sparks, two brothers, Donnie Sparks and Hank Sparks, two sisters, Gladys Roe and Donna Truman, one grandson, Bryan Rayburn.
Surviving are one son, Dock (Ruth) Sparks Jr. of South Shore, Kentucky, one daughter, Tresea Morman of Firebrick, Kentucky, two brothers, Charles Sparks of Firebrick, Kentucky and Robert Sparks of West Portsmouth, Ohio, three sisters, Ethel Lyons of Vanceburg, KY, Rosie Brown of Firebrick, KY and Debbie Pope of South Shore, KY, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 at the Roberson Funeral Home with Pastor Calvin Ray Evans, Pastor Brian Baer, officiating. Burial will follow in Firebrick Cemetery, Firebrick, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 2 p.m.
