Betty Jane Rayburn Lucas, 67, of Conover, Ohio passed away on April 14th, 2022, at Kettering Hospital due to complications of lung cancer.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 25, 1954, to Joseph A. Reigelsperger Sr. and Helen L. (Firman) Reigelsperger. She is survived by one Sibling: James Reigelsperger

She married her husband Curt Lucas in 2014 with whom they share 4 children: Michael Rayburn and his wife Kristie (Cox) Rayburn, Kimberly, and her husband Jeremiah Lear. Her stepchildren: Nancy Takacs, Jeff, and his wife Debbie Lucas and her grandchildren: Ashley and her husband Michael Blevins, Justin Rayburn, Dalton Rayburn, Alizabeth Lear, Jason Lucas, Jessica, and her husband RJ Ball. And 5 great Grand Children: Sean Lucas, Avery Lucas, Colt Ball, Wyatt Ball, MaKinsey Damron and a host of extended family and special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph A. Reigelsperger Sr. and Helen L. (Firman) Reigelsperger. Her husband Gary Rayburn. Brothers Joseph A. Reigelsperger Jr. and Freddie A. Reigelsperger. Her step son-in-law: Tim Takacs. Great grandchildren Abigail Suann Ball and Chase Damron.

Betty retired from Hobart manufacturing in Troy, Ohio. She was in the VFW Auxiliary in Troy.  She loved to cook, sew, make crafts, playing cards, spending time with her family and friends. She loved attending all her grandchildren’s games and events. She loved raising chickens and selling eggs. She also loved going to thrift stores and garage sales. She loved a good bargain!

There will be a memorial service at the First Church of God at 9341 West US Rt 36 in St Paris on Tuesday April 19th beginning at 5:00 pm with the service starting at 6:00 pm.

An out of State viewing and funeral will be held on Saturday April 23 at Roberson Funeral Home located at 400 Main St South Shore KY, with visitation starting at 11:00-1:00 with funeral starting at 1:00PM. She will be buried in Callihan Cemetery in Argillite KY.
