Amos John Bevens, 72, of Garrison, Kentucky went to be with his Lord on Jan. 9, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Lewis County, Kentucky, June 1, 1950, a son of the late Amos Raymond Bevens and Gladys Cooper. Amos was retired from the Dravo Lime and loved spending with his dog Jack and his family.
Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Mosely Bevens, son, Johny Ray Bevens, grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Grigson, one brother, Earl R. Bevens, three sisters, Garnet Bevens, Omah Bevens and Gladys Fairchild.
Surviving are his wife, Tammy Bevens, one son, David (Jodi) Bevens of Garrison, KY, daughters, Patricia (Marvin) Grigson of Garrison, Blaze Bevens of Garrison, step children, Julie (Phil) Burch of Wheelersburg, OH, Katrina (Craig) Lindsley of Parma, OH and Jeremy (Megan) Rawlins of Wheelersburg, OH, two sisters, Catherine Dugan of Garrison, KY and Rosemary Applegate of Vanceburg, KY, eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Ronnie Richmond and Rick Musser, officiating. Burial will follow in the Skidmore Cemetery, Garrison, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
