William Dale Porter JR., 59, of South Shore, KY., passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Portsmouth, OH., January 11, 1965 a son of Patricia Ratliff Porter and the late William D. Porter Sr.

Along with his father he is preceded in death by his previous wife Tonya Porter and one sister, Nancy Porter.

Left behind to cherish his memory along with his mother are his wife Rose Hay Porter; seven children, Jackie (Jeremy) Porter of Flatwoods, KY., Hollie (Cody) Thompson of Greenup, KY., Shay Hutson of Bloomington, IN., William D. (Kristyn) Porter III of Greenup, KY., Dustin (Emily) Hutson of Flatwoods, KY., Amber Thompson of South Portsmouth, KY., and Tia (Cody) Bentley of South Portsmouth, KY; two sisters, Fernande (Don) Ratcliff of Wheelersburg, OH., and Sandy (Bob) Chandler of South Portsmouth, KY; one brother, Ernie Porter of South Portsmouth, KY; seventeen grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several other family and friends who will cherish the memories of him.

Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Monday, August 5, 2024 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Rick Hay officiating. Burial will follow at Porter Family Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
