William Porter, 75, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, passed away, May 21, 2015 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, Dec. 16, 1939, a son of the late Raymond Porter and Sarah "Gladys" Arthur Porter. Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann Porter, to whom he married Sept. 1, 1961, two daughters, Fernande "Donald" Ratcliff of Portsmouth, Ohio, Sandy "Robert" Chandler of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, two sons, Ernest Porter of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, William Dale "Rose" Porter of South Shore, Kentucky, one brother, Franklin Porter of Chillicothe, Ohio, three sisters, Rose Cantrell of Chillicothe, Ohio, Louise Hall of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Carolyn Carver of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, seventeen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lynn Porter, daughter in law, Tonya Porter, three sisters, Virginia Glispie, Thelma Porter and Lutricia Sensabaugh, six brothers, James Porter, Robert Porter, Walter Porter, Raymond Porter, Charles Porter and George Porter. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Brother Todd Lockyer, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 and from 1 p.m. till the funeral hour at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
