William "Bill" Gregory Barry, age 60, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Best Care Nursing Center after a long illness. Bill was born on April 17, 1956, in Portsmouth to James and Pauline Barry. He was a retired carpenter. He loved building race cars, riding his motorcycle, his two dogs Popeye and Pearl and being a free spirit. He is survived by seven children: David and Karen (Barry) Swingle, Melissa Barry, Chad and Christy (Barry) Spriggs, Jessica Barry, Billie Jean Barry, William Gregory Barry II and April Barry. Bill is also survived by brothers Donnie Barry and Jimmy Barry and sisters Betty Lockhart and Patty Smoot. Bill is survived by 14 grandchildren as well. Memorial service will be held at 6 P.M. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 4 till the service hour at 6 P.M.
