Wanda Faye Laack, 64, of South Shore, Kentucky, passed away May 31, 2015 in Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born April 5, 1951 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of the late Merle Nickel and Alma Fetters Nickel. Wanda was a retired teacher from the Portsmouth City School System, a graduate of Morehead State University and Rio Grande College, member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Portsmouth, Ohio.
Surviving are one daughter, Sarah Griffith of Waycross, Georgia, two sisters, Helen Slater of South Shore, Kentucky, Nellie Knusta of Hartford, Wisconsin, granddaughter, Hannah Griffith.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Quesinberry and Loretta Nickel, one brother, Ray Nickel.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Ronald Anderson, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
