Wanda F. Bender, 94, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Buckeye Forest, Rosemount Pavilion Nursing Home in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born on January 27, 1931, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Walter and Ruby Mead.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bender; one son, Mike Bender; two grandchildren, David and Zach Bender; one brother, Shelton Mead; and two sisters, Mary and June Mead.

Wanda is survived by her four sons: Paul David Bender (Linda), William Bender, Jeff Bender, and Steve Bender, all of Portsmouth, Ohio. She is also remembered by three grandchildren, Mollie, Heidi, and Zach Bender, and five great-grandchildren, along with the friends and nurses at Rosemount Pavilion, as well as other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Wanda is under the care of Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky.
