Obituary
Walter Craten Rice Jr., 45, of Piqua, Ohio, former South Shore resident, passed away July 29, 2017 in Piqua, Ohio. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, Oct. 18, 1971, a son of Lola Charles Rice and the late Walter Rice Sr.
Preceded in death by two sisters, Jennifer A. Rice and Cristina A. Ketner.
Surviving besides his mother are one son, Stephen Rice of Piqua, Ohio, wife, Alanne Embudo Rice, one sister, Corina (David S. Clay) Rice Campbell of Hurdle Mills, North Carolina, one brother, Mike (Peggy) Charles of Greenup, Kentucky, one niece, Leatisha Pogioli, two nephews, Donald Thomas and Isaiah Nelson, a special friend Melanie Morrow and her children, Krissy, Brad, Jacob and Josh and a special childhood friend, Barb Coleman.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Mitch Bowling, officiating. Burial will follow in MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, KY. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 12 Noon till the funeral hour at 1 P.M.
