W. Irene Chapman, 75, of South Shore, KY., went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. She was born in West Portsmouth, OH., August 12, 1939 a daughter of the late Dingus Shepherd and Lillie Hopkins Shepherd. She worked for Marting Department Store, Manager and part owner of Magic Center Car Wash, worked for Portsmouth Times as a Carrier and a member of the Quincy Church of Christ. Surviving is her husband Karl Chapman, two daughters, Jettie Warnock of South Shore, KY., and Sherry Daley of Las Vegas, NV., one son Jeffrey Vernier of West Portsmouth, OH., three sisters Judy Hall of Middletown, IN., Joyice Perry and Kathy Gallaway both of West Portsmouth, OH., four grandchildren Nicholas Vernier, Ryan Vernier, Kristen Doss and Joshua Doss. Preceded in death by a brother Keith Shepherd. Funeral Services will be 3 P.M. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Brother Glenn Lawhun, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy, KY. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 1 P.M. till the Funeral hour at 3 P.M.
