Viola May McClurg, 91 of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away, Sept. 26, 2022 at her residence. She was born In Portsmouth, Ohio, June 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Linville McFarland and Ada Daniels McFarland. She never met a stranger and always was smiling, laughing and waving at everyone. She loved her huge family.

Preceded in death besides her parents are her husband, John Dee McClurg Sr, sons, Jack, Ricky, Kenny and Raymond McClurg, daughter, Connie Frances McClurg, grandson, Clyde Davis McClurg, brothers, Clifford and Alfred McFarland.

Surviving are eleven children, Shirley Wheatcraft of Mansfield, Ohio, Patty (Kindell) Thurman of Portsmouth, Ohio, Sue (Web) Boggs of South Webster, Ohio, Tammy Middleton of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Pamela (Steve) Antonaros of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Bobbie McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, Emma McClurg of Columbus, Ohio, John Dee (Sandy) McClurg Jr of Wheelersburg, Ohio, James "Tony" (Karen) McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, David (Mary) McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, Mikki McClurg of Portsmouth, Ohio, thirty five grandchildren, forty eight great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will follow in McClurg Cemetery, Concord, Kentucky.
