Thelma Thomas, 88, of South Shore, Kentucky went to be with her lord, Sept. 28, 2014 in Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio, she was born Sept. 23, 1926 in Floyd County Kentucky, a daughter of the late Thomas George and Edith Stephens George. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Kings Addition Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Bill Thomas of South Shore, KY, one daughter, Kathy "David" Blevins of South Shore, KY, three grandchildren, Ben Thomas, Karen Thomas Gilliam and Kevin Thomas, seven great grandchildren, Cole Gilliam, Taylor Gilliam, Brecken Thomas, Brock Thomas, Aryn Thomas, Liam Thomas and Trey Clinger. Preceded in death by her husband, William F. Thomas, Sept. 17, 2002, one son, James D. Thomas and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Kings Addition Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Rex Smith and Elder James Hobbs, officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M. on Tuesday and from 11 A.M. till the funeral hour on Wednesday at the Church.
