Sophia B Hunt, 88, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, a former South Shore, Kentucky resident, went to be with her lord, Dec. 31, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Tongs, Kentucky, Feb. 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Sam and Ethel Parker Young. She was a homemaker and caregiver of eight children besides her own. Surviving are three sons, Hobert "Joanne" Hunt of Mansfield, Ohio, Raymond Hunt, Keith "Stephanie" Hunt both of South Shore, Kentucky, five daughters, Florence Hunt, Wanda Hunt both of South Shore, Kentucky, Josephine Hunt of Florida, Fox Etta Hunt of Portsmouth, Ohio, Loretta "David" Quintanella of Guam, thirty grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three daughters, Phyllis Hunt Clary, Kathleen Howard, Frances Pendarvis, one brother, Wilford Young and one sister, Ruby Penix, one grandson, Manual Hunt, two granddaughters, Cassie Clary and Christine Reed and a special friend, Hubert Worthington. Funeral services 1 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 at the South Shore First Church of God, Main Street, South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Jack McCleese and Rev. Robert Thompson, officiating, Burial in MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Church from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 and from 11 A.M. till the funeral hour at 1 P.M. on Saturday.
