Solomon Franklin "Buck" Potter, 77, of South Shore, KY., passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born in Greenup, KY., January 14, 1948, a son of the late Earl and Phoebe McGuire Potter.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Helen Alan; four brothers, Arthur Potter, Bobby Potter, Max Potter, and Danny Potter

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years Julie Ann Watkins Potter; one son, John Potter of South Shore, KY; two daughters, Patty (Doug) Brown of Tollesboro, KY., and Candi Cains of South Shore, KY; one brother, Woodrow Potter of South Shore, KY; eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn Potter, Kortney Dingess, Eli Cains, Brooke Doherty, Jake Cains, Emily Cains, Clay Newsome and Colin Newsome; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Whisman, Octavia Whisman and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 1 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with David Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Friday.
