In Loving Memory of Samantha Jo Carter
May 14, 1969 – October 28, 2026
Samantha Jo Carter passed away on October 28, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, passion, and vibrant spirit. She was born on May 14, 1969, in Niles, Michigan, to Billie Jo (Krebs) Carter and Samuel Paul Carter, who preceded her in death.
From a young age, Samantha’s flair for hair styling was unmistakable. Childhood games of "beauty shop" meant her Barbie dolls were always stepping out with brand-new updos and haircuts. That early passion blossomed into an extraordinary career as a master hairstylist. A proud Paul Mitchell stylist, Samantha traveled the world showcasing her craft at international hair shows in countries including Greece, Italy, Germany, and China.
For a time, Samantha was part owner of a salon and built a renowned reputation for her exceptional skills in hair color and cuts. Her vast client list included professional athletes and their wives from the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, as well as dedicated clients who regularly flew in from out of state just to sit in her chair.
Samantha always made sure her presence was known whenever she entered a room, bringing energy, charisma, and warmth with her. Outside of her career, her absolute joy was her cats, whom she cherished and loved deeply as her children.
Samantha is survived by her loving brother, Todd Allan Carter; her nephews, Sean (Brandi) Carter and Theron Carter; her niece, Tiffany Carter; her great-nephews, Myles Carter and Jonathan Garringer; as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be at 1 P.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with David Robirds officiating. Gathering for family and friends will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 P.M. until the service hour. A private inurnment will be at a later date.
