Ruth Nickel, 82, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Nov. 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Ulm, Germany, Dec. 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Philipp Horlacher and Marie Elizabeth Mattes Horlacher. She was of the Roman Catholic Faith. Ruth dearly loved her family as well as her family in Germany, She loved to quilt and was a master quilter. Preceded in death by her husband, Harland Vincle Nickel, Dec. 4, 2012. Surviving are two daughters, Sylvia (Mark) Quillen and Debbie (Les) Munn both of South Shore, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Alicia Holbrook, Erin Quillen and Falon Owen, four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hollyn Holbrook, Harper Quillen and Maverick Owen. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Kenneth Fox, officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky. Friends may call from 12 noon till the Funeral hour at 1 P.M. on Monday.
