Russell Edward Schouster, 88, of Quincy, Kentucky, passed away, October 29, 2015 in Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born Aug. 26, 1927 in Minford, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Schouster and Rosa Vernatt Schouster, a U.S. Army Veteran serving in World War II and a member of Christian Church, Garrison, Kentucky.
Preceded in death by three sons, John Schouster, Rusty Darrell Schouster and Russell Schouster, one daughter, Doddie Schouster, three sisters, Charlene Gifford, Mary Phillips and Anna Belle Schouster, one brother, Robert Schouster.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane Bell Schouster, one daughter, Bonnie Blake of Toledo, Ohio, one brother Loren Schouster of South Rockwood, Michigan, four sisters, Betty Daniels of Sciotoville, Ohio, Joann Neff of Lucasville, Ohio, Vivian Colley of Minford, Ohio and Elnora Williams of Detroit, Michigan, several step children, thirty five grandchildren, fifty five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Charles Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in Crystal Dawn Cemetery, Quincy, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015 and from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour on Monday.
Military graveside services will be by the James L. Flannery American Legion Post 276, South Shore, Kentucky.
