Robert McKenzie, 55, of Columbus, Ohio, a former resident of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 in Mt. Carmel Hospital West in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Feb. 17, 1959 in Lawton, Oklahoma a son of Nellie Hamilton McKenzie and the late Robert McKenzie. He was a CPA for the state of Ohio Franklin County Child Support Agency. He graduated from Greenup High School in 1976, attended Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Columbus State College in Columbus, Ohio. He was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Surviving besides his mother, Nellie Hamilton McKenzie of Columbus, Ohio, is one brother, Charles McKenzie of Columbus, Ohio, three sisters Teresa Stacy, of Lucasville, Ohio, Penny Blagg of South Shore, Kentucky and Cindy Trammle of Saint Angelo, Texas. Robert also left behind several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at the Old Regular Baptist Church in South Shore, Kentucky at 2 P.M. Monday, April 7, 2014, with Rev. Tom Pfeifer, officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Church on Sunday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and from noon until the funeral hour on Monday.
