Richard Smith, 90, of Franklin, Ohio, passed away in Hospice of Dayton, Jan. 26, 2021. He was born in Greenup County, KY, Dec. 11, 1930, a son of the late Everett Smith and Della Wolfe Smith. Richard was retired from General Motors amd a member of the Full Gospel Outreach in Poast Town, Ohio.

Preceded in death by one son, Donnie Smith, two brothers, Chris and Wilford Smith, one sister, Ruth Rittenhouse.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Elcie Bear Smith, two sons, Larry (Cindy) Smith of Cold Springs, Texas, Ricky Smith of Carlise, Ohio, two daughters, Diane Hursh and Starr (Malcolm) Johnson both of Franklin, Ohio, three brothers, Norman Smith, John Smith and Kenneth Smith, one sister, Elma Withrow, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY, with Pastor James Maggard, officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Furnace Cemetery, Grayson, Kentucky. Friends may call from 12 till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Monday. Due to Covid restrictions mask and social distancing are required.
