Ray Yates, 66, of Rush, Kentucky passed away, June 10, 2021 in the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born in Boyd County, June 15, 1954, a son of the late Bobby L Yates and Ina Mae Enyart Yates. Ray was Airforce Veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Preceded in death besides his parents are one brother, Gene Yates.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann Yates, two children, Shawn Yates of Ashland, Kentucky and Lisa Yates of Huntington, West Virginia, three step children, Lea Ann (Tim) Harr, Tina Farr and Randy Gordon all of South Shore, Kentucky, three grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Roger Wireman, officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East. Friends may call at the Funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 12 Noon on Monday.
