Phoebe M. Potter, 91, of South Shore, passed away June 30, 2013, in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born Oct. 11, 1921, at Tulga in Greenup County, a daughter of the late Solomon and Oma Boggs McGuire. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Potter, in 1954; a son, William A Potter; two daughters, Helen Allen and Janice Paulene Potter; and a brother, William H. McGuire. Surviving are five sons, Max Potter, Woodrow Potter, Solomon "Buck" Potter, Bobby Potter and Daniel Potter; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore by Pastor Ryan Brown. Burial will be in Warnock Cemetery in Greenup. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 3, 2013, and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
