Pearl Mae Lewis, 87, of Firebrick, Ky., went to be with her Lord Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in South Shore Nursing and Rehab Center in South Shore, Ky. She was born May 23, 1927 in South Portsmouth, Ky., a daughter of the late Tom Evans and Elizabeth Salyers Evans.
Pearl was a member of the Firebrick Christian Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by one daughter Alice Barnhouse, two brothers Talmadge Evans and John Evans.
Surviving are her husband James Walker Lewis, JR of Firebrick, Ky., two daughters Jackie "Bill" McCray of South Shore, Ky., and Glenna Veach of Firebrick, Ky., two sons Tim "Valerie" Lewis of South Shore, Ky., and Michael "Fonda" Lewis of Portsmouth, Oh., five brothers Frank Evans of South Portsmouth, Ky., Paul Evans of Minford, Oh., Jim Evans of Columbus, Oh., Bill Evans of Rubyville, Oh., and Kenneth Evans of Firebrick, Ky., two sisters Nola Brown of Firebrick, Ky., and Thelma Ruggles of Rubyville, Oh. Pearl also had eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Firebrick Christian Baptist Church in Firebrick, Ky., with Pastor Raymond Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow at Firebrick Cemetery in Firebrick, Ky. Friends may call at the Church Friday, June 6, 2014 from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. and from 9 A.M. till the funeral hour on Saturday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky.
