Ottis David Riggs, 79, of South Shore, KY., passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was born June 30, 1944 in Letitia, KY., a son of the late William and Ruth Vest Riggs Howland.

David was a United States Army Veteran.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Riggs and Harold Riggs; three sisters, Clara Marsh, Bertha Roe and Eileen Taylor.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years Linda Pizer Riggs; two sons, Lonnie (Lynn) Riggs of Greenfield, OH., and David (Theresa) Riggs of South Shore, KY; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his dog Gracie Mae and several other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Joe Nelson and Scott Carr officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., and 10 A.M. until the service hour on Wednesday. There will be a private family burial at Riggs Cemetery in South Shore, KY.
