Obituary

Olive Rose Bostick Hannah 92, of Maloneton, KY went to be with her Lord May 3, 2014 at 1:15 AM. She was born February 9, 1922 to Laura Mae Heaberlin Bostick and Vint Bostick. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rancie W. Hannah, Sr., her sisters, Pauline Bowman, Louise Elswick, and Marjorie Elkins, and her brother, James Lloyd Bostick. Surviving are her sister, Anna B. Parker and her brothers Albert V. Bostick and Charles Wayne Bostick. Also surviving are her children Mr. and Mrs. Lanny B. Rice I of South Shore, KY, Mr. and Mrs. Michael R. Hannah of Forest, OH, and Mr. and Mrs. Rancie W. Hannah, Jr. of South Shore, KY. Her grandchildren are Mr. and Mrs. Lanny B. Rice II, Dr. Rancie Hannah, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Hannah, Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Hannah, and Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Hannah. She also had fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter. Olive was a graduate of Wurtland High School. She attended Trevecca Nazarene College but got her Bachelor's Degree in education from Morehead State University. She was a retired teacher having taught in the Fairview, Russell, Raceland, and Greenup County School Systems. Olive was an active member of the Sunshine United Methodist Church. For several years she had a card ministry in the church. She was also the founder of the Olive Branch Prayer Shawl Ministry, through which hundreds of prayer shawls have been presented. Funeral services  11 A.M  Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Sunshine United Methodist Church in South Shore, Kentucky with, Pastor Michael Hannah and Rev. David Herndon, officiating. Burial will be in Heaberlin Cemetery in Wurtland, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Sunshine United Methodist Church from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. Monday May 5, 2014 and from 9 A.M. till the Funeral hour on Tuesday. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky are in charge of arrangements.
