Newton Marion Gillum, 81, of Marysville, OH a former residence of South Shore, KY., went to be with his lord Friday, August 22, 2014 at Union Memorial Hospital in Marysville, OH. He was born January 1, 1933 in Fullerton, KY., a son of the late John Gillum and Doris Bentley Gillum. He was a former member of the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church in Wurtland, KY., and was a retired construction Laborer. Preceded in death by his wife Martha Wright Gillum, January 14, 2014 two brothers Richard Gillum and John Edward Gillum, two sisters Marilyn and Ruth Gillum. Surviving are two sons Sonny (Ajia) Gillum of Marysville, OH., Johnny Lumpkins of South Shore, KY., one daughter Ruth Gillum of Richwood, OH.,  two sisters Virginia Ray and Karen Goodson both of Reedsville, MI., Sixteen Grandchildren and twenty two Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church in Wurtland, KY., with Pastor Paul Bognerife, officiating. Burial will be in Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Friends may call at the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church Monday, August 25, 2014 from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. and from 9 A.M. till the funeral hour on Tuesday.
