Nancy Maddix, 90, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in St. Paul, Kentucky, Oct. 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Jim Tom Evans and Millie Wright Evans. She was a member of the Unity Full Gospel Church in New Boston, Ohio. Preceded in death by three sisters, Ada Henson, Bertha Sartin and Ella Chamber, five brothers, Leonard Evans, Johnny Evans, Jimmy Evans, Ellsie Evans and Joe Rob Evans. Surviving are her husband to whom she married Sept. 6, 1958, Russell Maddix, one son, Richard (Laura) Maddix of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, one sister, Julia Howard of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Jack Howard, officiating. Burial will follow in Brick Union Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M.
