Michael Wayne Bivens, 61, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away Jan. 17, 2023 in Portsmouth Health and Rehab. He was born in Portsmouth, Dec. 21, 1961, a son of the late Leslie Ray Bivens and Grace Cottingham Bivens.

Preceded in death besides his parents are two sisters, Ranita Bivens and Patricia Armstrong.

Surviving are three children, Michelle Bivens of South Shore, KY, Katelyn (Nickolas) Basham of Portsmouth, Ohio and Michael Bivens of Portsmouth, Ohio, girlfriend, Brenda Mixson, one brother, Jeff (Rhonda) Bivens of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, two sisters, Connie Reinhardt of Portsmouth, Ohio, Vicki (Jarrel) Thayer of Brandon, Florida, one grandchild, Memphis Basham and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Carlene Shaffer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Waring Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
