Melinda Jean Greene, 62, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away on Oct. 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born in West Point, New York, Oct. 23, 1958, a daughter of the late Samuel and Bonnie Tabor Carver.

Preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Greene, one brother, Joe Carver.

Surviving are her husband, James Wesley Greene Jr, daughter, Olivia Greene of Portsmouth, Ohio, two sons, Jerome (Missy) Greene of Portsmouth, Ohio and Brandon Greene of Portsmouth, Ohio, brothers, Tom (Andrea) Carver of Black Oak, Kentucky, Tony Carver of Columbus, Ohio, sisters, Kelly Bentley and Kathy Potter both of South Shore, Kentucky, seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore with Rev. Kenneth W. Potter, officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery, Garrison, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
