Gracie Lyons, 12, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away March 1, 2016 at her residence. Gracie was born July 17, 2003 to Jeffery Lyons and Keva Lyons in Boyd County, KY. Gracie attended McKell Middle School and was in the seventh grade. She attended Vacation Bible School every year at Fellowship Baptist Church where she gave her heart to the Lord. She was a member of the KYA Youth Assembly.  Gracie enjoyed playing the piano with her teacher Monica Harlock, and Clogging with the Amber's Angels Cloggers who was taught by Bridget Bentley  Lykins.  While at school she was a member of the Beta Club, and the Academic Team. The residents at Woodland Oaks knew Gracie as "Little Miss Sunshine". She enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, hiking, and fishing with her Dad and Grandpa. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Wesley "Elmo" and Edith Lyons, maternal great grandparents James Frank and Argetta Alexander. Left behind to Celebrate her life is her mother Keva Lyons and companion Shaun Allen of South Shore, KY, her father Jeffery Lyons and companion Tracy of South Shore, KY; maternal grandparents Kenny and Loretta Alexander of South Portsmouth, KY; great-grandmother Marjorie Waugh of Greenup, KY; Alexander family aunts and uncles Korey and Keri Alexander, Joe and Krista Alexander; Cousins Hunter and Bryce Alexander; Lyons family aunts and uncles Mike Lyons, Cheryl Lyons, Kay Lyons, Debbie Lovins and Carolyn (Carl) Robinson; with a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the Sunshine United Methodist Church in South Shore, KY beginning at 2:00 pm with Reverend Bob Sweeny officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyons Family Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm and from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour on Sunday.
