Maxine Gyurik, 84 of South Portsmouth, Ky , passed away Nov. 14, 2014 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. She was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Baisden, WV, a daughter of the late Hollie Mounts and Inez Blankenship Mounts. She was a member of the Little White Oak Chapel Church in South Portsmouth, KY. Surviving are two daughters, Paulleta Gyurik of South Portsmouth, KY, Ellen Kemplin of South Shore, KY, two sons, George "Carolyn" Gyurik of Morehead, KY, Charles Brumfield, three brothers, Kendall Mounts, Carl Mounts and Randall Mounts, one sister, Jettie Farley, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son, Danny Ray Brumfield, a grandson, Vernon Ray Stapleton. Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M.  Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at the White Oak Chapel Church in South Portsmouth, Kentucky with pastor Terry Colegrove, Pastor Donnie Smith and Pastor Bob Williams, officiating. Burial will follow in Blankenship Cemetery, South Portsmouth, KY.
