Mary Rosena Ramey Fisher, 96, of Garrison, KY., passed away February 12, 2025, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Sue Ann and Gregory Henley in Lakeville, OH. She was born on November 28, 1928, in Friendship, OH., the youngest daughter of the late Garrison and Anis Cox Ramey.
She was the wife of Edward Fisher JR., he preceded her in death in 2016. They married July 21, 1950, at the Apostolic Church in New Boston, OH. Rosena had worked at Williams Shoe Factory, Doctors Hospital and Sears Distribution Center. She enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She was known as 'Aunt Zeenie' by some. Rosena loved family gatherings, cooking and canning from her husband's garden. She enjoyed playing the 'Trouble Game' and 'Sorry board game. She was a talented seamstress and loved to crochet.
She is survived by one daughter Sue Ann and her husband Gregory Henley who she has lived with for her last nine years; three grandchildren, Aaron Henley of Chicago, IL., Sarah Henley (Anthony Johnson) of Wooster, OH., and Scott Henley of Cleveland, OH; one great-grandchild, Anthony Maurice Johnson II; two brothers-in-law, Earnest (Barb) Fisher and Melvin (Loretta) Fisher both of Garrison, KY; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Along with her husband Rosena is preceded in in death by her siblings, Marie, Nellie, Ethel, Dorothy, Garrison, Alice, Edward and Johnny; in-laws, Minnie, Olive, Madeline, Opal and Martha.
Rosena loved her family and her God with all her heart. She was much loved and had a strong faith.
The family would like to give a special thanks to extended family and friends that been there for us and for nurses and aides at Hospice of Western Reserve of Ohio for loving care and support for Rosena and her family.
Funeral Services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY. Burial will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Garrison, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 11 A.M. until the service hour.
