Martha Gillum, 73, of Marysville Oh., a former South Shore, Ky., resident passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Union Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Oh. She was born in Pike County, Ky., April 27, 1940 a daughter of the late William Wright and Vina Combs Wright. Martha was preceded in death by four brothers Mack Wright, Orville Wright, James Wright, Matthew Wright, and one sister Thelma Harr. Surviving are her husband Newt Gillum of Marysville, Oh., one daughter Ruth Gillum of Richwood, Oh., one son Sonny "Ajia" Gillum of Marysville, Oh., one brother Henry "Ruby" Wright of Garrison, Ky., and one sister Beliva Mullins of South Shore, Ky., also nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church in Wurtland, Ky., with Pastor Paul Bognerife, officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, Ky.  Friends may call at the Church Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6 P.M. till the funeral hour on Friday.
