Marlene Yvonne Curtis, 84, of Firebrick, Kentucky went to be with her Lord on July 9, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Firebrick, Aug. 21, 1936, a daughter of the late Chester Brown and Sarah Stewart Brown. Marlene was a Member of the Firebrick Christian Baptist Church since 1965.

Preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Curtis, 2015, two brothers, Harold and Donald Brown, three sisters, Dorothy Wright, Jean Brown and Janice Boggs.

Surviving are three children, Fonda (Mike) Lewis of Portsmouth, Ohio, Dreama (Jeffrey) Flowers of Quincy, Kentucky and Tim (Jonna) Curtis of Firebrick, Kentucky, one sister, Freda Evans of Firebrick, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) Bean, Kevin (Marita) Cooper, Philip (Megan) Lewis, Amber (Eric) Kegley, Seth (Tricia) Lewis, Jordan (Chris) Breeze and Brad (Savannah) Curtis, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Michael Bean, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens, South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till the service hour at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
