Marjorie Ann Burgess, 75, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky passed away May 17, 2013 in South Shore Nursing and Rehab in South Shore, Kentucky. She was born in Garden City, Ohio, Jan. 29, 1938 a daughter of the late William and Garnet Ketter Tilley. She was employed by Greenup County Board of Education for 11 years, working at McKell Middle school as a custodian and was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Burgess, June 12, 1999. Surviving are three daughters, Melissa "Mike" Bass of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Cheryl Burgess of Bloomington, Indiana, Teresa "Bernie" Kountz of Phoenix, Arizona, four sons, Jeremiah "April" Burgess of South Shore, Kentucky, Shad "Vanessa" Burgess of Lloyd, Kentucky, Rick "Pam" Burgess and Leslie Burgess both of Richmond, Virginia, nine grandchildren, Chelsi and Derek Potter, Hunter Burgess, Bryce and  Jaiden Burgess, Kevin Burgess, Nakea Reed, Curtis Burgess and Leslieann Burgess and six great grandchildren, one sister, Patricia Keller of Minford, Ohio, five brothers, Richard Tilley, Robert Tilley, William Tilley all of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Bernard Tilley of Cumberland, Kentucky and Earl Tilley of Marion, Ohio. Funeral services 1 P.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky, with Pastor Bernard Tilley, officiating. Burial in Green Cemetery, St Paul, Kentucky.
