Obituary
Marcella Kay Slater Grimm, 75, of South Shore, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord on Aug. 16, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born in Fullerton, Kentucky, on July 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Lyman "Dud" Slater and Erma Howerton Slater Burke.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Robin Carver Bradley, son, Gary Dudley Phillips, great granddaughter, Erma Haylee Ann Hannah, one brother, James Dudley Slater, two sisters, Reba Pauline Bailey and Carmelita Abrams, and one nephew, Michael Abrams.
Surviving are granddaughter, Ashlee Kay Bradley, and great grandson, James Mykel Ray Bradley, both of South Shore, Kentucky. Also surviving are niece, Lisa Barnett, nephews Paul Ray Abrams and Scott Abrams, and her "other daughter", Lois Carver Porter.
Ashlee would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Christine McKain, the staff at WeCare Medical, and to Staci, Lauren, Jim, and the rest of the staff at Community Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held at the James L Flannery American Legion Post #276, South Shore, Kentucky, on Sunday, August 20, at 2:00 p.m.
