Lester Gilbert "Gib" Howell III, 74, of South Shore, KY., passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at South Shore Nursing and Rehab in South Shore, KY. He was born in Portsmouth, OH., June 2, 1951, a son of the late Lester Gilbert Howell JR and Bessie Morris Howell.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Howell, and one brother, Ed Howell.

Left behind to cherish his memory are one daughter, Nicole (Cory) Brown of South Portsmouth, KY; three sons, Jason (Kristin) Kozee of Venice, FL., Jarrod (Jessica) Kozee of Columbus, OH., and Jake (Traci) Kozee of Columbus, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Gabriella, Natalie, Trent, Kodee, Kaleb, Karli, Kameron, Dakota, Indi, Rhys, Ashley, Brooklyn, Christian, and Dreydon; several great-grandchildren and other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Jason Kozee officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery in South Shore, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
