Laura B. Royster, 74, of South Shore, Kentucky,  passed away, May 19, 2015 in Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, Dec. 23, 1940, a daughter of the late Willie Gilliam and Kathern Johnson Gilliam. Surviving are two daughters, Melody Thomas of Otway, Ohio, Davada Royster of Portsmouth, Ohio, one son Leslie Royster of South Shore, Kentucky, seven brothers, Charles Gilliam, Walter Gilliam, Donald Gilliam, Russell Gilliam, Ben Gilliam, Mike Gilliam and Curtis Gilliam all of South Shore, Kentucky, three sisters, Louise Fraley of South Shore, Kentucky, Barbara Wolfe of Grayson, Kentucky, Doris Madden of Waverly, Ohio, ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Preceded in death by one son, Timothy Royster, one brother, Marion Gilliam, two sisters, Ruby Gilliam and Diana Gilliam. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday May 24, 2015 at the Gilliam Cemetery, South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Donald Harr, officiating. Friends may call at the cemetery from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. on Sunday. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky are in charge of arrangements.
