Laura B. Potter, 61, of South Shore, Kentucky, formerly of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, went to be with her lord, Friday, July 17, 2015 in Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born in Boyd County, Kentucky, July 9, 1954, a daughter of the late Holbert Bowling and Velma Helton Bowling. She was a retired Nurse and Deputy Sheriff in Franklin, Ohio,  a member of the Twin Fork Nazarene Church in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are Bob Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, one son, Thomas "Victoria" Potter of South Shore, Kentucky, two daughters, Angela "Terry " McCoy and Marie "Justin" Grooms both of South Shore, Kentucky, grandchildren, Staci Allen, Melissa Potter, Chelsea Potter, Jeremy "Shellie" McCoy, Destiny Potter, David Grooms, Erin Grooms, Alexis Potter, Emma Potter, Zach Dyer, great-grandchildren, Amyiah Stumbaugh, Adalynn McCoy and Kinsley McCoy and Aunt Zola Meeker of Kenova, West Virginia. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Norman Potter, officiating. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 11 a.m. till the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
