Kenneth Dale Wells, 67, of South Shore, Ky., passed away Dec. 30, 2013, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born Aug. 13, 1946, in Greenup, Ky.; a son of the late William Morris Wells and Myrtle Irene Meadows Wells. Kenneth was a retired Carman from Norfolk and Southern Railroad in Portsmouth, Ohio, and a Pastor for nine years at Hilltop Lighthouse Church in South Portsmouth, Ky. Preceded in death by his first wife Mary Rister Wells and one step daughter Dana Estelle Carey. Surviving are his wife of eleven years Marianne Adkins Wells, one son Kenneth Ray Wells of Portsmouth, Ohio, one daughter Mary (Keith ) Adkins of Flatwoods, Ky., one brother Roger (Sandy) Wells of South Shore, Ky., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at South Shore Old Regular Baptist Church in South Shore, Ky., with Rev. Rick Mollett officiating. Burial will follow at Crystal Dawn Cemetery in Quincy, Ky. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
