Obituary
Kathy Louise Rister, 70, of Lexington, Kentucky a former South Shore resident passed away, April 5, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Greenup County, May 2, 1951, a daughter of the late Harold Penix and Pearl Ruggles Penix.
Preceded in death besides her parents are her husband, Russell Traylor.
Surviving are her husband, Melvin Rister, one daughter, Carrie (Kris) Smith of South Shore, son, Kevin Brinkley, step son, Robbie (Dolores) Rister of Lexington, Kentucky, one brother, Larry Penix of Rubyville, Ohio, grandchildren, Caleb Smith and Kandee Stroud.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the MT. Zion Cemetery, South Shore with Caleb Smith, Officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
