Kathy Marie (Carver) Potter, 64, of South Shore, KY., went to be with the Lord March 4, 2024 at home surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer. She was born on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH on October 26, 1959; the daughter of the late Eugene & Bonnie (Tabor) Carver.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Joe Carver & one sister, Melinda Greene.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Maria Dawn (Shawn) Harmon and Katie (Bill) Lambert; both of Quincy, KY; two brothers, Tony Carver of Lebanon, OH & Tom (Andrea) Carver of Vanceburg, KY; one sister, Kelly Bentley of South Shore KY; six grandchildren Josiah (Haley) Harmon of South Shore, KY; Jillian, Sarah & Wyatt Harmon of Quincy, KY; Zola Lambert of Quincy, KY & Vada Lambert who is expected in early April. Along with several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

She held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Anyone who knew Kathy knew her favorite title was Mamaw. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Kathy loved working with people in recovery. She had been clean for 12 years and took pride in mentoring others to lead healthy lives. Kathy worked for many years as a nursing assistant. It always brought her joy caring for others. Funeral Services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Travis Hobbs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the funeral home from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and one hour before the service on Thursday. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
