Joyce G. Holland, 82, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away Aug. 21, 2017 in SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born in South Shore, Kentucky, July 7, 1935, a daughter of the late William R. Royal and Verna Mae Richards Royal. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in South Shore, Kentucky, former clerk at Big Bear for 25 years.

Preceded in death by one sister, Ann Noel and one brother, Thomas Royal.

Surviving are her husband, Edward E. Holland to whom she married Nov. 7, 1956, one daughter, Tammy James of Portsmouth, Ohio, three sisters, Kay Koski of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carol Winkley of New York, New York, Pat (Roger) Livingston of Portsmouth, Ohio, two grandchildren, Max and Dusty James, one great-grandchild, Bryson.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Rev. Robert Thompson, officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, Ohio. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 A.M. till the Funeral hour at 1 on Thursday.
