Joyce Ann Bowling, 87, of South Portsmouth, KY., passed away at her sons residence December 13, 2023 in Pataskala, OH. She was born in Portsmouth, OH., March 25, 1936 a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Prater Hammond Friley.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Charles Franklin; two daughters, Cheryl McGlone and Teresa Simon; three brothers, Larry Hammond, Ronald Hammond and Steve Friley; two sisters, Patricia Diedrich and Charlotte Babcock; two step-sons, Ronald Bowling and Mike Bowling.

Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Chris Franklin of Portsmouth, OH., and Jesse Franklin of Pataskala, OH; two step-sons, Mark Bowling of Wickenburg, AZ., and Scott Bowling of Owensboro, KY; two step-daughters, Lynn Hobbs of New Mexico and Teresa Adkins of West Portsmouth, OH; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and several other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral Services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., with Pastor Mark McCallister officiating. Burial will follow at Collier Memorial Gardens in South Portsmouth, KY. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday at the funeral home from 12 P.M. until the funeral hour.
