Obituary
Joseph C. Roe, 81, of South Shore, Ky. passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 in Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born in Greenup County, Ky. Jan. 28, 1932, a son of the late Martin and Etta Murphy Roe.
He was a retired laborer from Ohio Asphalt Paving Company.
Preceded in death by one daughter, Rebkah Roe, one grandson Zachariah Roe, three brothers, Herbert, Benjamin and Clarence Roe, and one sister Thelma Lybrooks.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Garnet Allen Roe, two daughters, Naomi Roe of South Shore, Kentucky and Helen Roe of Laporte, Indiana, one son Herbert "Debbie" Roe of Wheelersburg, Ohio. Sixteen grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Graveside services 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roe Cemetery, 178 Roe Cemetery Road, South Shore, Kentucky, with Rev. Donald Hammond, officiating. Friends may call at the Roberson Funeral Home from 6 till 8 p.m. on Monday July 1, 2013.
